First UMC completes mission to Nicaragua (The Oak Ridger) A mission team of 25 people from First United Methodist Church of Oak Ridge recently went to the city and state of Matagalpa in Nicaragua on a medical mission trip. We distributed large amounts of medicine to needy people in rural villages. There was also a vision team distributing eyeglasses, as well as a dental team.
