    Work to replace the crumbling bricks with stamped, colored concrete on the downtown Metra station platforms is scheduled to resume Friday. The southbound platform, west of the tracks, will be closed between the warming structure and Glenview Road for about four weeks. After that, work will move to the northbound platform on the east side of the tracks.
