Campgrounds likely to boom in this busted economy (Louisville Courier-Journal) Mike Huber and Virginia Dunlop left Colorado more than a week ago bound for Kentucky. They'd enjoyed a leisurely trip, having camped in Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas and Tennessee before arriving at ridge top campsite overlooking Energy Lake at the Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area, the 40-mile-long, 10-mile-wide spit of land that separates Lake Barkley and Kentucky Lake.
Kids? cooking school slated for June 16-19 (Bartlesville Examiner-Enterprise) The Washington County Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service is having a program called ?Kids Cooking Up Some Fun!? It will be a four-day cooking school for kids 9-13 as of Jan. 1, 2009 and will be held at the Washington County Fair Building in Dewey from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 16-19.
