    Rowan County's third annual special waste recycling event is a week away. It's set for next Thursday, April 3. The county will accept all the stuff that's hard to get rid of â?? paint, pesticides, tires, cell phones. It's open to everyone including businesses.


  • Homeless man says suspects laughed as they lit a man on fire (WREG-TV Memphis)
    Two homeless men suffered a brutal attack Easter Sunday. The weapon of choice was bottles filled with gasoline and set on fire. Also known as Molotov cocktails.


  • What's next for Britney? Hopefully nothing (MSNBC)
    There?s little chance that five minutes sporting prop eyeglasses and a cardigan on a sitcom will freshen up a public image so damaged that Kevin Federline is seen as the stable member of the former couple.


  • Lions Club will host 2nd 'Fund' Run/Walk (Pacific Daily News)
    The Lions Club International District 204 will be holding its second Lions Clubs Campaign Sightfirst "Fund" Run/Walk on Sunday, March 30. Proceeds from the run will go towards the Campaign Sightfirst, which helps get eyeglasses for children who need them.


  • 3 p.m. ? Run to provide eyeglasses for children (Pacific Daily News)
    3 p.m., March 26 ? The Lions Club International District 204 will be holding its second run/walk to benefit Campaign Sightfirst Sunday. The run will begin at 6:30 a.m. at the Micronesia Mall and end at Ypao Beach Park. Funds raised will go toward getting eyeglasses to children who need them.
