    A jury must decide whether to agree with prosecutors that a sickly woman plunged a knife into her longtime husband's chest, or agree with the defense attorneys' two-pronged claim that she accidentally stabbed him during a fight after months of sexual abuse.

    Mary and Dr. Donald Perlmutter, owners of Twinsburg Eye Associates, were selected as the 2008 Twinsburg Chamber of Commerce Business Persons of the Year. Last May, Don traveled to Nicaragua for eight days with Volunteers in Optometric Services to Humanity, where he provided 1,000 sets of donated eyeglasses and other eye care for the needy.


  • Opening statements heard in murder trial (The Arizona Republic)
    All that was ever found of Jay Orbin's body was the section from his rib cage to his knees, wrapped in plastic and stuffed in a 50-gallon rubber tub left in the desert in north Phoenix in 2004. Orbin's ex-wife, Marjorie, went on trial Thursday in Maricopa County Superior Court, charged with first-degree murder and two counts each of fraud and theft.
